What to do if the printer began to print poorly after refilling the cartridge

The fact is that “pallor” can appear as a result of choosing an economical mode. Other causes of a print defect after a cartridge is refilled may be a faulty magnetic roller jacket, metering blade, squeegee, or drum unit. In addition, when using toner that does NOT match the cartridge model, a problem such as insufficient print intensity may appear.
If the laser printer prints black sheets, then this may be the result of an illiterate refueling. For example, while performing this procedure, the refueller illuminated the photovale under the influence of an artificial light source or sunlight. The easy way
So when everything is ready, do the following.
- Draw MM into syringe.
- Cut 2 small pieces of cheesecloth. First Fold it so that it is about the size of the lower platform of the SG, then put it in a saucer and saturate with MM. Crumple the second piece and also soak a little with glass liquid.
- Turn the steam generator over with the nozzles upwards and remove all dirt from it with a crumpled (moistened) piece of gauze. You may need to change a few gauze pads.
- Place the PG on the prepared section of gauze in the saucer. Use a gauze pad moistened with MM to remove dirt from the intake grilles (be careful not to break them).
- After removing the gum from the inkwell, rinse them under water to remove dried paint, and the places where they were. wipe with gauze.
- Further, one drop of MM must be dripped onto the intake grids, using a syringe.
- Once the MM is absorbed, add 1 more drop to the grates. This should be repeated many times, and the piece of gauze under the head should be changed as it gets dirty. When the moment comes that the liquid flowing out of the nozzle will not stain the gauze, it means that the flushing can be completed.
- To check the quality of rinsing, fold a small piece of gauze in half, wet it well with MM, and put the steam generator on it for about 1 hour. If, after the time has elapsed, the gauze remains clean or with weak ink streaks, but without areas of intense contamination, then the SG can be inserted into the device.
- After installing the head in the printer, you need to start cleaning the steam generator 2-3 times to remove the remnants of the MM.
If a drop of liquid is NOT absorbed into the grill, leave it for a while to soak. Wipe it off from time to time with a tissue and reapply.
Cartridge is not installed correctly
Sometimes a situation arises when the device does not see the cartridge. This is explained by the fact that there are electrical contacts on it, which, when installed, should ideally match with the contacts inside the carriage. If for some reason there is a breakdown in contact (dust, dried paint), then the device will not work normally. It is also necessary to peel off the protective film from the contacts if the ink tank is new.
Some machines, especially MFPs, will not start working while the cover is open. The reason for the hardware failure lies in a specially designed cover sensor. Therefore, if you installed CISS, and the loop from it prevents the lid from closing tightly, then this sensor must be blocked, for example, with a piece of foam (for different printer models, the blocking methods may differ).
Most often, this element is called a “diaper” or an absorbent pad. The absorber is necessary to remove excess ink when cleaning the cartridge nozzles. By means of a mini-pump, a pressure drop zone is created in the nozzles, while in the body itself it is close to normal. Due to the difference in pressure, the paint clot is pushed out and falls on the gasket.
Many devices can monitor the absorber run-off level and issue Corresponding messages or an error code. If the “diaper” is completely clogged with ink residues, the printer may refuse to print.
The pampers are filled with ink

Problems with the chip or diaper meter

Air got in during refueling
Air in the cartridge, refilling with ink, will NOT do much harm. Unless the paint will start to flow out of it, since there will be no necessary vacuum inside the container to keep the ink from leaking.
It’s another matter when the ink runs out and air gets to the print head nozzles. In this case, it is possible for the paint to dry in the capillaries of the head. Also, air can enter and dry out the head if it is not properly parked after the printer ends. It is important to check that the carriage always reaches the parking space. Air can damage the print head, especially in Epson printers, as it is not removable. The problem is that when changing the ink tank, if it is done slowly, or when installing the CISS, when the head is outside the parking unit, the nozzles have time to dry out.
Sometimes after refueling the cartridge refuses to work normally or does NOT show signs of life at all. The reason for all the problems lies, as a rule, in the inept actions of the user, and at the same time deviations from the instructions.
Procedure for replacing toner in a laser cartridge:
- Unscrew / remove the cover to access the toner compartment.
- We clean the box from the accumulated old powder.
- We fill up a new toner (it is highly desirable branded with an eye to the brand of the printer).
