Epson L355, L366 and others: how to connect to Wi-Fi, correct printer setup
Adequate) goes well with a wide range of functionality. It’s not just about economical waste of ink and print speed of 33 sheets per minute. Epson L355 printer is easy to connect and use.
The device is equipped with a Wi-Fi module, which makes it a network printer that allows printing from phones and laptops. The main requirement is Epson Wi-Fi and the gadget Must have a connection to the same network.
- Installation and preparation for connection
- Connecting with SSID
- Connection without SSID password
- No pin code
- With pin code
Connection without SSID password
You say: this is all, of course, great, but what about the second method? Here there is a division into two ways: through a small screen of the printer or without it. The difference between them is not serious, so further we will describe both methods at the same time.
Connecting with SSID
How to connect Wi-Fi on a printer Epson L355, Epson L366 and second SIMilar models:
- First, go to the printer settings. It is not difficult to find them. they are indicated by symbols of a screwdriver with a key and the inscription “Setup” on top.
- Then we select the term “Wi-Fi Setting”.
- Click on “Wi-Fi Connection” (“Wi-Fi Setup”)
- From another menu that appears, take the option “Wi-Fi Setup Wizard”.
- You will see a list of Internet access networks, which Epson L355 was able to detect using the Wi-Fi module in the nearest radius. If you do not remember the name of your network and cannot choose the one you need, then look at its name on your second devices connected to the Internet. They all have a setting for connecting to wireless networks, so finding the necessary data will not be difficult.
- Then you will need to enter a password. If you don’t remember him either, you can refer to the point above, there is also a chance to find out the necessary data.
If all of the above steps are successfully completed, then the result will not be long in coming. the light signal above the “Wi-Fi” label located on the front of the printer will immediately turn green. This means that the printing device is successfully connected to the network.
Installation and preparation for connection
Before you take your Epson L355 and figure out how to connect it via Wi-Fi, you should prepare the printer itself according to the setup instructions that came with the device. In short, before turning on, you need to fill the continuous ink supply system on the right side. There will be four small squares, in which you need to pour paint from the corresponding bottle. They are usually sold specifically for a specific line of printers.
Then we plug the printer into a power outlet and turn it on using the button on the left side of the control box. The printer will start its diagnostics and inform about the end of the light blinking. Usually the process does NOT take more than 1-2 minutes.
If you are planning to connect your printer to your computer or laptop, it is worth checking for the correct drivers for your printing device. As a rule, they come with the printer on disk. And if the installation disc is missing, then it doesn’t matter. just go to the manufacturer’s official website and download the necessary files yourself.
Immediately, we note that the Epson L366, L355, L805 models do NOT differ in functionality, so the instructions for setting them are SIMilar. The updated models L3050, L3060, released at the end of 2017, also differ little from their predecessor L355, except that they became narrower. Setting up THESE models is also SIMilar with connecting the Epson L355 printer model.
On Epson L366 or any other SIMilar model, Wi-Fi setup can happen in two ways: with or without SSID implementation. To make the first method work, your device is equipped with a small LCD screen, through which all operations will be carried out.
For amateurs. instructions “How to connect Epson printers to a wireless network?”:
No pin code
So, if your printer has an LCD display that allows control over the device, then we go through the first three menu items as in the instructions above, and then select “Connect using the WPS button”.
If not, press the “Wi-Fi” button on the device panel.
Next, the printing device will scan for wireless networks around it and try to connect to any of them. The LCD screen will display information about the next step of the setting, and the light will start flashing.
Then you will need to turn to the router. the omnipotent distributor of the wireless Internet of your home. As a rule, the thing in the back panel of this device is a button marked WPS or, more rarely, QSS. Press it and the Wi-Fi router will think that the printer requiring access is a friendly device, and not your downstairs neighbors craving free Internet at someone else’s expense.
If everything went well, the indicator light will stop blinking and turn green. This is a direct signal that you can start typing without worry. If the orange color is on, this means that there is no connection, and the surest step here is to check the functionality of the router itself.
With pin code
If the router has WPS quick connection buttons, do the following (for example, a TP-Link router):
- We are looking for an 8-digit pin-code on the printer, which is indicated on the stickers.
- We go to the router interface. To do this, in the search engine, enter the address indicated on the router. There is also a username and password to enter the settings (if you have NOT changed them to your own).
- Go to the WPS section, press the button for adding a new device and enter the pin code, which is indicated on the printer.

Canon PIXMA G3410 test. Updating printers without PIXMA G series cartridges. How to connect devices to a computer or local network?
I have considerable experience with various Canon printers, including the latest series. However, even I initially had a lot of questions, how to connect Canon PIXMA G3410 to my computer? SIMilar questions may arise for other devices of the updated PIXMA G line. Russian people do not like to read instructions. However, it is precisely following the instructions that helps to set everything up very quickly and easily. So let’s start writing in order in connecting PIXMA G to Wi-Fi and a computer.
There are at least two options and several pitfalls here. Two of the four devices in the updated PIXMA G line can be connected to a computer via Wi-Fi: these are PIXMA G3410 and G4410. An alternative connection method for them is a USB cable. The “younger” models PIXMA G1410 and PIXMA G2410 can only print via USB cable. And here we meet the first “pitfall”. Traditionally, for modern printers, a USB cable is not included in the package. USB B cable must be purchased separately.
Canon PIXMA G3410 delivery set. USB cable not supplied.
The second subtle point is the compatibility with operating systems. This is because the PIXMA G1410, PIXMA G2410 and PIXMA G3410 are NOT compatible with MAC OS. This operating system is supported only by the top-end PIXMA G4410.
We will NOT dwell on configuring USB devices. Everything is SIMple here: go to the canon.com/ijsetup website and download the latest drivers and software. It’s more interesting with a Wi-Fi connection. Most of us have a router at home that “distributes” the password-protected Internet to a home computer, smartphone and other devices. But the PIXMA G3410 and G4410 have a keyboard or touch screen to select a network and enter a password from it to connect. How to be? The answer is SIMple: follow the instructions unquestioningly.!
The first step is standard. go to canon.com/ijsetup and download the firmware bundle. Let’s start! And then you just need to do very clearly what the program will offer.
Naturally, the first time Po will not find the printer on the network, because it is NOT connected to it. But this does not lead to give up: following the prompts on the screen faithfully.
At one of the stages, it will be necessary to SIMply hold down the Direct button on the device body for two seconds until the Flashing smartphone icon appears on the monochrome screen (here it is really able to help you figure out the status of the device!).
And again, following the prompts on the computer. And then a little miracle happens: the printer automatically connects to your local network without manually entering a password. The computer finds it without any problems. Everything is clear and smooth. Subsequent connections occur immediately after turning on the printer automatically.
And since our MFP is on a local network, why not connect it to a smartphone on the same network? This is where the Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY app does it all for you. However, if you decide NOT to use the existing infrastructure or you have a router, then you will have to connect the printer to your smartphone directly. about this on the next page.
