The well-known company Samsung has previously been actively involved in the development of printers of various types. Nowadays such devices can still be found in the homes and offices of users, and almost everyone is faced with the task of removing the cartridge in order to carry out a second action. As part of today’s article, we would like to talk in detail about the production of this procedure using the example of an inkjet and laser device.

There is nothing complicated in the work under consideration, because the main thing is to perform all the steps carefully and in accordance with the annotation, so as not to accidentally touch the fragile internal components of the printing equipment. In addition, each of the types has its own extraction characteristics, in which you will learn further.

Laser printer

Of all the models, Samsung‘s laser printers stand out the most, printing only black ink, but doing it much faster than inkjet machines. The peculiarity of their design lies in the fact that the paint is used in powder form, and is also poured into the compartment of the toner cartridge, which in turn forms a single printing system with other components. All this structure is extracted separately, and then other actions are performed. The whole operation looks like this:

  • Turn off the device and unplug it. Wait for internal components to cool down if active printing was in progress.
  • Open the top cover or scanner module if you are using a multifunction device.

Lift the inner cover by grasping the plastic tab.

Remove the toner cartridge. You can only hold on to a specially made handle so that your fingers do not damage fragile components.

Reinstall the scanner unit without touching the inside of the unit.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult in completing the task, however, it is necessary to take into account several fundamental factors so that there are no problems in the future:

  • After removing the toner cartridge from the box, keep it away from light sources and try to immediately put it away in a dark place such as a box. If you can’t pull it out quickly, Cover Possible spots of light with an improvised means, for example, a letter of paper;
  • Pay attention to the green area of the cartridge. You cannot touch it with your hands, for all movements of the structure there is a special handle provided;
  • If toner gets on your clothes, wipe it off with a dry cloth, hot water will only fix the stains on your clothes;
  • Hold the entire structure together (document feeder and control box) when opening the scanner unit.

All other nuances will be associated only with the design features of specific models of printers from the company in question, therefore, in order to avoid problems and breakdowns, before starting the entire operation, read the instructions included in the kit.

Jet printer

As you know, inkjet models are designed for color printing and have several SEPARATE cartridges inside. They take up quite little space and are presented in the form of small containers. Each of them is removed in turn from a special connector. Our other article at the following link details this process using the example of a printer from HP. In the case of Samsung, no differences are observed.

As for the subsequent actions, for example, cleaning or replacing the cartridge, then these procedures are also devoted to other materials on our website. With them to learn all the subtleties of tasks and simplify their implementation.

Now you know all about removing cartridges from Samsung printers. As you can see, everything is done in just a few minutes, but do not forget about precautions and accuracy.

How to manually clean clogged ink cartridges | Small Business

Clogged ink cartridges cause skipping and erratic ink flow during printing. A print head with a fully clogged cartridge does NOT print at all. This most commonly occurs when an ink cartridge is removed for a while and exposed to air, or if the product has not been used for several months. Manually clean the clogged ink cartridge with a few supplies at the pharmacy and restore the clean and crisp print you got when you first installed the cartridge.

Remove the clogged ink cartridge from the printer. Use the method that matches your make and model, but usually just open the cover and pull out the cartridge.

Locate the printhead where ink exits from the cartridge and wipe off any dried or crusted ink with a soft cloth.

Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water and wipe the printhead area. If you have hard water or are concerned about mineral deposits in your tap water, use distilled water. If your cartridge has a gold, silver or copper nozzle plate, be careful not to wet it. Use a damp cotton swab only to clean the printheads. This keeps the metal nozzle plate dry.

Insert the cartridge back into the printer and print a test. If you still see streaks or blank areas, run the printhead cleaning utility provided with your printer. If the printouts are still smudged, moisten the cartridge.
