Canon MF3110 driver Windows 10 x64. do it yourself.
A bit of a loud title for the article. “do it yourself.” Especially then you don’t have to do anything.
Foreword. All-in-one printer CANON LB MF3110
Now a little history. The other day I got a great machine. Canon LaserBase MF3110. For those who do not know. an unkillable device about 10 years old. The beauty of the situation is that it was on it that I worked 8 years ago. No, not on the same model, but on this all-in-one printer, with this serial number.
The all-in-one printer of my former office, for some reason was gathering dust in the warehouse without work, and the director kindly offered me to pick it up, said that he had no idea why no one gave the apparatus of mind. We are NOT used to being scattered with such wealth and, thanking the director, took the device.
I let him stand for a while and dry off after a damp warehouse, we tried to turn it on. Our surprise There was no limit when we managed to make a high-quality copy, almost a new cartridge in the device. The frustration began when we realized that the Windows 10 x64 driver could not be found on the Canon MF3110.
How to replace Canon MF3110 driver in Windows 10 x64?
A little on Google, we found out that the driver can be replaced with a driver from the MF5700 series, which has a 64-bit Windows operating system. Everything would be fine. this is the solution, but we constantly stumbled on something.
Either the driver did not want to be installed for some unknown reason, the System was satisfied with the driver’s signature, and so on. Something was in the way all the time. We decided to make your life a little easier, wrote this instruction.
Install MF 3110 on the “ten” x64
Download the necessary files
Download this Printer.Zip archive from our website. It has been tested for viruses and other nasty things. It is completely harmless. We will unpack it to any convenient place. Remember the place. It will come in handy in just a few minutes.
Installing the Canon MF3110 Printer Driver
Right-click on the “Computer” icon and select the “Management” term. In the window that opens, namely on the left side of it, Click on the Device Manager inscription.
If the printer is connected correctly, you will see 2 icons. One is responsible for the printer, the other for the scanner.
The printer is a priority for us, so let’s start with it.
Right-click on the CanonMF3110 icon and select Update Drivers. In the window that opens, do not rush, but select the item indicated in the figure below.
Then follow the quest and choose from the already installed drivers.
Highlight Show all devices and press the button.
Next, click on the button.
At the next step, you need to press the button and follow the path where you unpacked the driver.
If you did everything correctly, you will see 3 driver files. INF.
Select CNXRPKA6.Inf and open it. Then press the buttons twice in a row.
In the window for selecting a printer model, select Canon MF5700 Series and press the button.
And here it is magic. After a few seconds, we saw a message that everything was installed perfectly.
Device Manager has also confirmed this.
We make a test print, and if everything is fine, then move on.
Installing the Canon MF3110 Scanner Driver
In the device manager, we still have a scanner icon named “MF3110”.
In order to install the scanner, we need another archive. Scaner.Zip
Follow steps 1 through 3 with it in the same way as described above when installing the printer. Point 4 and subsequent will be slightly different from the previous instructions.
In the instructions above, in this paragraph, we selected Show all devices, now we must scroll down a little and select Imaging device.
Next Repeat steps 5 through 8 with one amendment. In step 7, you need to select another file. MF5700AK.INF
Then everything follows the same scenario.
If scanning programs cannot connect to MF3110 scanner on Windows 10 x64
For this, Canon has prudently created a patch, which you just need to run.
Many users ask how to scan? What program and where to get it? Indeed, in Windows 10 there is a familiar “seven” program “Windows Fax and Scan”.
It is necessary to clarify: it is there, only hidden.
Open “Computer” then your system drive (usually C :). Next, open the Windows folder. Find and open the System32 folder. Find the WFS.Exe file in it. create a shortcut for it and pull it to the desktop. Those who know how to use search. use search.
This file is “Windows Fax and Scan”.
We hope you succeed.
Solution from comments for those who have the printer “hidden” in software devices
In device manager, = actions = Install old device = manual installation
Next, you need to select a port. USB001 (or any with a similar name).
Select 5700 printer from the hardware list.
If it doesn’t work, go to “Devices and Printers”, select Installed 5700, right-click, and select “Printer Properties” (There is also just Properties, do not confuse).
Next, go to the “Ports” tab and select, for example, USB002. Click OK, try to print.
We repeat steps 4 and 5, changing the port to the next one, for example USB003, until the device seals.
How to set up access to a printer on a local network in Windows 10
Many modern printers are devices with support for a network wired or wireless connection, they are NOT tied to any one computer, and do not depend on its settings and activity state, but are connected directly to a router or switch and are independent local network devices. To which, accordingly, all network users have access at any time and can send their documents to print. But if the device does not provide for network connectivity, you will have to connect it to one of the computers and set up general access on it. How to do it? And then how to get access to such a shared printer from other computers on the network?
The first step is to configure general access to the resources of the computer over the local network and to the printer in particular. To do this, it must be enabled, configured on the Windows 10 computer to which it is connected, and its drivers must be installed. Click on the network icon in the system tray “Tens”.
In the first section “Status” of the opened system parameters, click the icon of the sharing options.
In network discovery, check the box for network discovery activity. We also check the auto-configuration box on network devices. Below we make active file sharing and (maybe what we need directly) printers.
Configuring the FDResPub Service
To open access to printers and computer data, it is necessary that there is an active system service FDResPub, which is responsible for publishing computer devices with their shared resources on the network. We start system services, for this we enter into the search: services.Msc
We are looking for the FDResPub service and check that its startup type is automatic.
Setting in printer properties
We return to the system parameters again, go to the “Devices” section, and in it. to the “Printers and scanners” subsection. We click the printer, which needs to be made publicly available, and click the “Control” button.
Here we need its properties. In the properties window, go to the “Access” tab and activate general access. We also make sure that the box below is checked for drawing specified on client (i.E. Network) computers. Applying changes.
Setting up the printer on networked computers
What does each of the network computer users need to do to be able to print to a shared printer? Each such user must add a printer, i.E. Make it visible and available in the Windows environment of your computer. If this is Windows 10, open the system parameters in it, go to the “Devices” section, then “Printers and scanners”. And add the printer.
Next, click the link for the absence of a printer in the list.
In the window for its installation, press the browse button.
Turn on network discovery with shared access if these settings were NOT previously made in the system.
Then, in the explorer, open the “Network” section on the left, we go to the network computer with a connected printer. And highlighting this printer.
And that’s it: we can do a test print.
But in the same Windows 10, you can go a shorter way, we use the same path in Windows 8.1 and 7. In the “Network” section of the explorer, open the computer with a connected printer and double-click or, using the connection option in the context menu, connect this printer.
Well, we carry out test printing already in some document. specify a network printer and print a page.
The computer does not see the SD memory card
SD cards will remain a popular storage format for a long time to come. The standard became very closely entrenched in the photo and video equipment market, and then the need for a card reader was, is and will continue to be. From time to time, users encounter a problem with the operation of SD cards (or in the card reader) in computers running Windows 10. The card is inserted into the Corresponding port, but the computer cannot recognize it and the SD card is displayed in Explorer. This is a very common and rather unpleasant problem, which, fortunately, is very easy to fix in the vast majority of cases. In this article, you will find some tips that will help you if the computer does not see the memory card.
Although in this manual we mainly talk about SD cards (which is the larger one), the instructions are also relevant for microSD cards. Modern computers (Surface tablets, for example) are often equipped with microSD slots lately. The tips described in the article are also relevant for THESE devices.
The computer or laptop does not see the memory card. What to do
First you need to make sure the card is working. To do this, insert it into another device with a slot for SD (or microSD using an adapter) cards. It can be a camera, camcorder, second computer, tablet, smartphone or any other device equipped with a corresponding slot. If the memory card is NOT recognized in this device or works intermittently, then it is either damaged or needs cleaning the connectors.
Take a cotton ball, “ear stick” or piece of cotton wool, lightly soak them in alcohol or an appropriate cleaning agent (in theory, ordinary water will do, but either a special cleaning agent or simple alcohol will do the best for the task) then lightly walk over the metal contacts on back of the memory card. Important: do not pour liquid onto the card (this will only kill it) or insert it wet into the port. Make sure the contacts are dry and clean, then try again to connect the memory card to the computer.
Check if there is dirt in this area of the memory card or adapter you are using.
If after this procedure the memory card works in other devices, but does not work in the computer, then it makes sense to also clean the slot itself. Perhaps there is too much dust in it, which prevents the computer from reading information normally. You can clean the memory card slot in a computer or laptop using compressed air.
Another tip: Make sure you insert the card the right way round. The computer should show which side to insert the card. Some slots use a latching mechanism to secure the card into the slot. In such a computer, you will NOT be able to insert the card upside down, as it will not lock. In second computers, such a mechanism may not be provided, so make sure that the memory card is installed correctly. DO NOT use force when connecting or removing a card, as you risk breaking the slot, card or locking mechanisms.
Let’s say the memory card is working, you insert it in the correct direction, the slot in your computer is clean, but the PC still does not see the SD card. In this case, there are some more tips that should help.
Check if the memory card is detected in the disk management interface. If a letter is NOT intended for a memory card, the drive will not appear in Explorer, although both the slot and the memory card are physically working.
- Disconnect any flash drives from your computer and leave only your SD card. This will help streamline the process.
- Click Win X and select Disk Management.
- At the bottom of the utility interface, your hard drives and SSDs will be displayed first. They are labeled as “Basic”. Any removable drives (flash drives, memory cards, external hard drives, etc.) are marked as “removable device”. See if it’s on the list. Disk Management should display the type of media, its size and the notes “Online”. this means that the card is working properly.
- Check if a letter is attached to the card. If there is a letter ((G :), for example) next to the name of the card, then it is because of this that it is NOT displayed in Explorer.
- Right-click on the map and select Change Drive Letter or Drive Path. In the window that appears, click Add, and then select the Assign Drive Letter (A-Z) option. Choose any letter you like and press OK.
- After that, the system should inform you about the new found disk and the memory card will appear in Explorer.
Check if the memory card slot is enabled in the BIOS settings of your computer. Sometimes it happens that the card reader on the PC motherboard is simply disabled for some unknown reason. You can check this by simply diving into the BIOS settings. Reboot the computer and during startup press F2 / Delete (or another button chosen by your manufacturer) to get into the BIOS. Each computer has its own BIOS (UEFI), which differs depending on the manufacturer or model of the motherboard, so we cannot publish all the options here. You need to find the section with ports and devices (Onboard Devices / Miscellaneous Devices, etc.), and then look for something like “Media Card Reader”, “SD Reader”, “Enable ExpressCard” and so on. Make sure it is turned on, then save the settings, restart the computer and try again to connect the memory card.
The checkbox is responsible for activating the built-in SD card slot in the BIOS of Dell computers. If the checkboxes are comments, the port will not work.
In the case of desktop computers, it is also possible that the SD card slot on the front of the chassis is not connected to the computer’s motherboard. Here you will have to open your case (before that completely disconnect the power from the computer from the outlet) and see if the wire is connected from the front panel of the case to the motherboard. The wire with a 9-pin connector must be connected to the appropriate comb on the motherboard.
Sometimes the source of the problem can be an adapter that does not work as expected. This is the case if you are using an SD adapter for microSD cards or a second format card paired with an adapter. Of course, you don’t always have an extra adapter on hand, but this option is also worth considering if you can’t get your computer to work with a memory card. Fortunately, the adapters cost a mere penny and it won’t be difficult to find them.
You can refer to the system’s built-in diagnostic and troubleshooting methods. Perhaps Windows itself can find the cause and successfully fix it.
- Click Win I and go to Update & Security.
- In the left menu click Troubleshoot. Find Hardware and Devices in the list. Click this item and then click Run the troubleshooter.
- Wait while the wizard checks your system and reports the results. If it does NOT find anything, proceed further along this instruction. If the diagnostics still find something, apply the tips suggested by it, and then try to reconnect the card to the computer.
The next option is to turn off and on the card reader. Perhaps a trivial bug in the operating system or controller led to the failure of the card reader.
- Press Win X and select Device Manager. Alternatively, you can press Win R and enter devmgmt.Msc.
- In the list of devices, look for Host Mass Storage Adapters. This is your SD reader. Expand it and the adapter controller should appear on the screen. This can be a Standard SDA-Compliant SD Host Controller, some Realtek PCIe CardReader, or an adapter from a second manufacturer.
- Right click on the adapter and select Properties. Go to the Driver tab and click the Disable device button. Confirm Action.
- Then reopen the properties and turn the card reader back in exactly the same way.
If a peculiar reboot of the adapter does not help, you can try reinstalling or updating the card reader driver. Go to your manufacturer’s website and check if there is a new driver version available. If there is, download and install it. Previously, you can remove the old version of the driver in the device manager.
- Press Win X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Host Mass Storage Adapters, then Click on the adapter and select Properties.
- On the Driver tab, click Uninstall Device. Confirm deletion.
- After that, download the driver on the manufacturer’s website and install it. Restart your computer and then try connecting the card again.
- If the slot stopped working after a recent driver update, click Rollback on the Driver tab to return to the previous driver version. Please note that the Rollback driver to a previous version function will only be available if you have updated the driver at least once. If the system has previous versions of the driver, the Rollback button will not be available, as in the screenshot below.
It should be understood that none of THESE methods will help if your computer slot is damaged or broken. If the memory card works in other devices, but is not detected in your computer in any way even after all THESE dances with a tambourine, then you need to contact a specialist who will check the physical health of the port, repair or replace it. To extract information from the card, insert it into another device (the same camera), and then connect it via a USB cable to your computer, or transfer the data you need from another PC.
We hope these tips will help you fix the problem and you will not have to contact a service center, repair your computer or change a memory card.
A computer with Windows 7/10 does not see other computers on the network. looking for the reason
There are many ways to exchange data between PCs, but not all of them are equally convenient and efficient. It is also important in which network such an exchange is carried out, global or local. If the network is local, the use of cloud services will be less rational than combining computers into one workgroup, in which data can be transferred without any intermediaries.
Technically, organizing file sharing on a local network is not particularly difficult, which cannot be said about eliminating one of the most common problems when the computer does not see other computers on the Windows 7/10 network. The problem can be caused by various reasons, but most often it is caused by incorrect network settings and disabled services. So, what often prevents computers from seeing each other on a local network?
It is not difficult to view the list of PCs available on the network, just expand the “Network” on the navigation bar of the Explorer or execute the command net view.
If computers are connected and the command returns “there are items in the list”, check the following settings one by one.
Open the “Network and Sharing Center” command with control / name Microsoft.Networkandsharingcenter, go to advanced settings and make sure the network type in the network profile you are using is “Private”. Next, check that network discovery, access to files and printers are enabled in the profile settings, as well as Windows permission to manage homegroup connections.
Now go to the “All networks” profile and enable (if disabled) sharing for network users, and password protection, on the contrary, Disable.
Return to the Network and Sharing Center, click “Change adapter settings”, go to the properties of your adapter and check if the checkbox “File and Printer Sharing.” is checked. The checkbox under IP version 6 (TCP / IPv6) must also be checked.
In Windows 10, you can access all of these settings from the Network & Internet section of the Settings app. Please note that the option “Make this computer discoverable” in the properties of your connection must also be active.
The reason that computers DO NOT see each other in the local network Windows 7/10 may be incorrect workgroup settings. Open the system properties, on the “Computer name” tab, click “Identification”, and when the wizard starts, select these settings in sequence:
- The computer is part of the corporate network;
- My organization is using a network without domains;
- Working group name. WORKGROUP.
After that you need to restart your computer and make sure once again that the network type is set to “Private”. The name WORKGROUP is the default, and do not change it if possible. All computers on the network must use the same (same) workgroup name, and this is a very important point.
Network Browser Service
In Windows October 1703 and above, problems with the Network Neighborhood may be related to a disabled or, on the contrary, a running Network Browser service. See if you have SMB 1.0 CIFS protocol active in the Windows Components section. If so, try to disable it, by the same you will deactivate the Network Explorer.
If the Browser is disabled (in the latest versions of Windows 10 it should be), try to enable it, and then reboot and check if computers on the network are detected correctly.
Other network services
Network discovery issues are encountered more frequently in Windows October 1803 than in other versions of the system. This is due to the limitation of the functionality of working groups, which Microsoft considers an obsolete component. In this version, a number of services can be disabled that are responsible for the detection of second computers in the local network. If computers are not visible in Windows 10 Network Neighborhood, you need to make sure that the specified services are enabled:
- Publication of resource discovery functions (type “Automatic”);
- SSDP detection;
- Computer Browser (see above SMB 1.0);
- DHCP client;
- Generic PNP Node.
Enabled these services on all computers, reboot. If other settings are correct, your PC should detect other resources on the local network.
If Windows 7/10 still can’t see computers on the network, it might be worth resetting the network settings to their defaults. To do this, open the command line or PowerShell console on behalf of the administrator and execute the following commands:
- Netsh int ipv4 reset My.Log;
- Netsh int ipv6 reset My.Log;
- Netsh winsock reset.
To reset the settings, you will need to restart your computer, which Windows will notify you about. But even such a mayor does not guarantee correct network discovery. There are other reasons why the computer is not visible on the network, in particular, incorrect operation of drivers (rarely), as well as blocking the connection by a third-party firewall and antivirus.
Printer in other windows 10 devices
After installing updates for the Windows 10 operating system, users may find that the system cannot see the printer. Mostly the causes of this problem can be a system or driver failure.
Solving the problem with displaying the printer in Windows 10
First, make sure that the cause of the problem is not a physical breakdown. Check the integrity of the USB cable, ports.
- Try plugging the cable into a different port on your computer.
- Make sure the cable is firmly plugged into the printer and PC.
- If everything is physically correct, most likely a failure has occurred.
If this is your first time connecting a device, then there is a possibility that it is not supported at all or the necessary drivers are missing from the system.
Search for problems
You can run troubleshooting with the system utility. It may also try to fix the problem automatically.
- Right-click on the “Start” icon and select “Control Panel”.
Under Hardware and Sound, select Using a Printer.
In the new window Click “Next”.
Wait for the scan to finish.
After searching for errors, the utility will provide you with a report and solutions to the problem.
The standard troubleshooter will in most cases solve basic problems and some crashes.
Adding a printer
You can do otherwise and try adding the printer yourself. Usually the system automatically downloads the necessary components for the device from the official website.
- Open the Start Menu and select Settings.
Now go to “device”.
In the first section Click on “Add Printer or Scanner”.
Enter the device name and click “Next”.
If after THESE manipulations the printer still does not connect, try installing the drivers manually. Just go to the manufacturer’s website and find drivers for your printer model in the appropriate section. Download and install them.

If the listed options did not solve the problem with the printer display in Windows 10, you should contact a specialist. The device may be physically damaged, inoperable or NOT supported at all by this operating system.
Thank the author, share the article on social networks.
You can connect a printing device to your PC or laptop in several ways Using cords and cables, but today network and wired technologies are actively used. Simply connecting the equipment to each other does NOT guarantee its correct operation. The second thing to do is install the printer on Windows 10. This process can be more difficult for an inexperienced user. There may be a problem even how to find the printing device, because not everyone knows where they are on the computer.
In this article we will consider all the options to add a printer to the system and configure its parameters necessary for printing on your computer. We will describe in detail the steps for connecting an old device without a disk, installation with the introduction of a USB cable or WiHi network, the process of installing printer drivers in Windows 10. Let’s analyze the error “I can not connect the printer to the computer”.
Then plug the cable ends into the corresponding connectors on the printer and on the computer or laptop. When working with a PC, refrain from using the USB inputs on the front panel of the unit. They may become unstable due to indirect communication with the motherboard. It is also important that the versions of the USB interface match in the cable, printing device and computer. After connecting, it remains only to wait a little while Windows 10 detects the printer and installs the corresponding driver for its model. You can see it in the “Printers and Scanners” section of the control panel. Let’s make print settings according to the instructions at the end of this article.
We use the installation disk
If you have an installation disk with drivers and other utilities, you can and should use it. Insert the disc into the drive and wait for the installer to start. If it doesn’t, then start it manually. Then follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
- Run the file “autorun.Exe” or “setup.Exe” as administrator.
- Select the type of installation, which wizard is recommended by default.
- If the disc contains driver packages for different series, a list will be offered. You should mark your option.
- Note the type of connection you are using. It can be a network or a “USB” wire.
- Wait until the process of copying the required files is completed. When finished, restart your PC.
Installing a printer manually in Windows 10
If the automatic setup procedure was not successful, or you want to use a network printer that is previously connected to the network via an ethernet cable, another PC or Wi-Fi connection, you can use the manual addition option. This method of connection is provided in all versions of Windows 10 and is NOT difficult even for inexperienced users.
Detailed instructions for manual addition:
- Click start and go to “Settings” PC.
- Select “Devices”, “Printers and Scanners” one by one.
- Click on the “Add new” button. The search process will begin and the list will begin to replenish.
- Check the comments on the list of the model you need. If there is, then click on it.
- Otherwise select the shortcut “The printer that I want is not listed”.
- Further, for each case, the choice will be individual.
Let’s consider in detail the Possible ways of choosing when manually connecting. Indicate the option that best suits the current situation.
- “My printer is pretty old. I need help finding him. »The inscription speaks for itself. If you connect the device is not new, but rather old, then this option is suitable in such a situation in Windows 10.
Regardless of the option chosen, in the future, the system will prompt you to specify which printer to connect and install drivers for Windows 10. This is special software, without which printing is simply impossible. Their installation is possible immediately from the base of the OS itself. In the window that opens, select the brand on the left, and the exact model of your device on the right. When you cannot find your model in the list, then use the installation from the disk by clicking the corresponding button in the lower right corner.
Solutions to basic connection problems:
What to do if there is no disk
If you do not find your printer model in the list and the installation disk is at hand, then the solution will be to download drivers from the manufacturer’s website. On the brand’s portal, you can easily find a section with software, which is what we need. Next, use the search by model name. Select a driver package that matches the Windows version and the “bitness” of the system itself. Download the necessary files to your disk. Unzip and specify the path to them Using the same install button from disk.
Possible problems with device software
In the first versions of the Top 10, there really was a problem with the software for printing technicians for this operating system. Things are much better now. But if you can’t find anything suitable for your model, then as an option you can use packages for Windows 7 or 8. According to some manufacturers of equipment, their products should work with software for earlier versions of OS from Microsoft. But do not forget about the difference between 32 and 64 bit, as this is an important point.
Removing old drivers
If another technique was previously used, but in the future it will NOT work, then it will not be superfluous to remove its drivers from your “computer”. This will avoid possible software conflicts. This procedure is optional.
- Open the System Settings “Printers and Faxes”.
- Find and remove all old models.
- Now we will finally clean the system from their drivers.
- Run the print server properties using the “printui / s” command from the WindowsR Quick Launch.
- Select and remove the required packages from the list.
Add a device to the network
To take advantage of this advanced technology, the printer and router must support it. Depending on the type of PC, and it can be a personal computer or laptop, the “device” must be on the same network with the printing device and the router. It will be easier to connect the devices with the support of WPS technology.
Look for a small button on the back or side of your modem with the appropriate signature. Press once or for a few seconds. Wait for the ready indicator to light continuously. Immediately on the printer body Let’s perform a similar procedure. If everything was done correctly, then the connection was successfully established and the Printing equipment was added to the network. It remains only to connect to it.
Connecting to it from a PC
Now you can go online and see your printer among the network devices. Right-click on it and select “Connect”. Then the driver will be installed automatically, but if this does not happen, then the installation disk will help fix the situation. It can be found in a box from equipment, somewhere in two boxes, he was definitely lying around. In case of problems, pay attention to the subsection of this article “What to do if the disk is available”.
Solving connection problems
If you have any connection or printing issues on Windows operating systems, and version 10 is NOT an exception, you can use the built-in tech troubleshooter. Below is a short but detailed instruction for action:
- In the system settings, find the section with a list of printing devices. It’s in the Printers & Scanners section.
- Mark your device with the mouse, and with the right key to open the menu.
- In it, select “Troubleshoot”.
- This will launch a utility that will collect all the information you need to fix the problems. Namely: restart the print server, check the availability and version of the driver, remove the blocking of the network device. Next, he will offer to fix the found flaws.
Setting up printing on a computer
After the printing technician has successfully connected to the control device, it’s time to go directly to setting up the printing process itself. What can or should we configure first:
- Set as the default printer in Windows 10, then all documents will immediately go to it.
- Make a test print to make sure the machine is working and the quality of the prints.
- Enable general access, and popularly “share”, so that it can be used by other users.
- In the properties, you can change the time the printer is available for printing.
- Ink saving can be adjusted depending on the type of editor or program. This is relevant for black and white printing in “Word” or PDF documents.
Virtual printer in Windows 10
In the latest version of the VIN 10 OS, there is such a thing as a virtual printer. It can be found among the list of real devices. It does not physically exist, but was created as a virtual means of printing to PDF files, and not to paper, as is customary. To use it, you need to set it as the main one by default or in the program with which you are printing, select it from the list of available devices.
After clicking on the print button, a PDF file will be created on the disk, which contains all the necessary information that you viewed. Everyone has the right to use “Microsoft Print to PDF” as it is more convenient and necessary for him. According to statistics, it is most often used to save information from the Internet. But many users agree that the “piece” is really useful and necessary.
If the device does not appear in the list or you have a UPnP incompatible model, you can add it manually
The Windows 10 operating system recognizes and automatically adds printers to the home network based on the Universal Plug and Play (UpnP) protocol. If a printer is already connected to your Windows 7 / 8.1 computer, it will remain after the upgrade to Windows 10. If you perform a clean install of Windows 10 and the printer is UPnP compatible, it will be installed and assigned as the default device, and from you NO additional steps are required to enable print functions.
However, if for some reason the device does not appear in the list, or it is an old UPnP incompatible model, you can try to manually add the printer in Windows 10. Just go to Settings, then Devices, Printersscanners (“Printers and Scanners”) to start searching for printers on your local network (see Figure 1).
|Figure 1. The Printers and Scanners section|
If the printer you want is found, just Click on its icon and add it to the system. If there is no printer, then you can go to search in the section of additional parameters. Click The printer that I want is not listed to open the Advanced Options window (see Figure 2).
|Screen 2. If the printer is absent, then go to the section of additional parameters|
